Entertainment News is Everywhere Now

Some of us can remember when Entertainment News was maybe a half of a minute of quickly spoken news at the end of the nightly news cast. That kind of stuff was generally thought of as gossip. There were columns in the newspaper for people who were really into that sort of thing.

But then it was like news producers suddenly realized that a lot of people were really interested in this type of news. It was a refreshing way to get away from the hard news of the day. And it was fun to talk about what famous people were doing.

With the rise in cable television and, of course, the internet, there was also a large rise in the types of shows and reporters who were covering only entertainment news. There are many blogs to follow where the people are writing about what certain celebrities are up to. For those of us who remember people like Rona Barrett, we may not recognize many of these new celebrities. Many people do and they are very interested in hearing about what they are up to.
